GUNNAR Glasses PPK Review

I have seen my advertisements for these so called gaming glasses from GUNNAR.  I did some research and it sounds like they did provide some benefits for the people who use them.  What do these glasses do?  It is said that GUNNAR glasses protect the users eyes from drying air currents, and that the lens reduces eye strain while improving contrast.  It can also reduce glare and improves detail to help give the user clearer vision.  On paper, it seems like these glasses are good for people who spend a lot of time staring at a computer screen.

I purchased the PPK model and figured I'd give it a try.  Although they took some getting used to, I have noticed some of the difference they provide.  While you would think that the amber colored lenses would be distracting, it isn't.  The glasses do in fact improve contrast and get rid of glare.  Even after being on the computer for the better part of the day, my eyes feel significantly less strained than they would normally.

At a glance, the glasses were very light and thin.  To be honest, it looks like any amount of weight put on these glasses would destroy them instantly.  Yet so far they have held together really well and they fit perfectly on my face.

These glasses are not without issues though.  When I tried walking around with them on without looking at a digital screen, my eyes felt strained by it.  Also, these glasses do seem to get finger prints on them really easily even if you are careful.  Just lightly grazing the side with my finger resulted in a big blurry spot that took some effort to clean off.

If you spend a lot of time in front of a computer, I would advise you to visit the GUNNAR website and see if there is a pair that suits you.  Alternatively you can get them from Amazon, but then there are no options to get prescription lenses if needed.
